New trick! Last weekend I found my garden tractor had a flat front tire. The tires are tubeless, I saw what looked like a thorn or nail puncture, so I decided to buy a tire plug kit to repair it.
Tom keeps tire repair kits around like a smoker keeps a pack of cigarettes handy! The kit you purchased is good for tubeless tire repairs. When it comes to the tires on our vehicles, Tom always gets these patch-plugs that work fantastic! We've never had a problem with any repairs made using those. Sometimes, when just a regular plug is used, magnesium chloride (or other stuff used to treat the roads in Winter) can leak into the steel cords and corrode them.
It's a nice little kit for what I need. I don't know as I'd want to use it on the car tires either. I bought new tires for my little tag-along trailer on the tractor when the sidewalls gave out, and then had to buy tubes and a patch kit for the new tires because they were basically junk.
