Spring stuff

It was a beautiful Easter Sunday. Temps were warm enough for some outside work. I raked the leaves out from the blueberry bushes in the front yard, then scratched in some Holly-Tone fertilizer (hopefully this will be the right amendment) and watered. Daffodils are the first flowers I see every Spring here at Tom's house. The trees are budding, and the weather this week is spectacular! There's a price tag too though, soon it will be time to mow the lawn and trim the hedge again. Needless to say, I am not a fan of the hedge. LOL!

I've got to get the garden underway, now. The electric fence needs to be cleared of debris and the soil needs to be amended and tilled. I should be putting in peas at this point (the soil temp is about 40 degrees). So much to do!

Yeah, the three in the old garden area are under bushes and trees now: it's been about 25 years since they were interred. I only know where they are because I know where the old perimeter was...

The other two were never marked officially, and that area has grown over quite a bit over the last fifteen years. I don't know what will happen after the new pup passes: I'll be around 80, if all goes well on both counts!
