Today is the last of my two week vacation. It’s been great to be home, regardless of mice and washer issues, and I’ve given very little thought to my job during this time. It’s a four day work week (Thursday is, of course, Veterans Day) and Wednesday I have a dental visit for cleaning, and a broken off tooth looksee, in the morning.

Thanks :o) We were, like so many, messed up in 2020, so we the library board let us roll unused vacation over into this year.

The genie… it dawned on me after reading it a couple of times what he did in the final panel!

Makes you wish that everyone got as many days off as Congress eh?! I remember the lyrics of "Time In A Bottle" by Jim Croce: "But there never seems to be enough time to do the things you want to do once you find them."

I hope everything goes well with the visit to address the broken tooth. Tom had to have his two left side lower teeth (molars) removed last month. He also has a cracked front tooth with a cap on it that's going bad.

Some people really do view all dogs as puppies. *laughs*

The guy in the genie comic is a man after my own heart! He knows that nothing is ever free! The seemingly benevolent genie is more likely a Djinn! *laughs*

I verified today I have 9 days to use before January 1. I’m sure I can manage that…

My dentist did a filling at the edge of my cap, and as usual the tooth fell apart within months. Thankfully I had a root canal on this one so there is no pain. But this is the second molar to go on the bottom back, so eating is difficult.

Yeah, I'm hanging in there. I check through and read things here, but haven't done postings, or comments, in a while.

I was sorry to read your post about home. I hope things work out for you there.

I'm glad you're hanging in there. It's really all any of us can do in these completely insane times we're living in.

Things at home are currently stable for the most part, but it's a race against time at this point. No worries though, I'm sure things will work out as they are supposed to.
