Nothing yet, here, construction-wise. The Water Authority told me there were several steps and inspections to complete before applying for a meter, and the contractor is waiting for the local DPW to issue us a street-opening permit. Mention to them that they are a bit too noisy... and that they oughta be careful not to attract the boogie man!

They are so silent when tip-toeing by when I’m outside. I am surprised that they make so much crunching and thumping otherwise!

Nothing is simple in the land of the fee and home of the slave. Everything now is choked up in red tape and endless "permits and assessment fees".

Those deer are assembling for a reason! Halloween night with the full moon is almost here! They will transform into cervine entities of horror and bring doom!

I understand the reasons for inspections, but it muddles things up as days turn to weeks.

There is a fence between these hoofed friends and us... one hopes it keeps them at bay on Halloween!
