I was at my brother's today going through some of the collected memories of my father today (those things that were important to him and now filed away in boxes). In the bottom of one box were several glass photographic plates, negatives, from around the 1890's, I believe. Treasures can be found everywhere, but many don't know what true treasures are.

"'I wonder what happened to that bear skin' and I didn't tell them I ended up with it a couple of years ago because they didn't want it then."

Wise choice! I just love when people conveniently "forget" that they didn't want something and now all of sudden wonder where it is.

*sigh* I also have a beautiful set of stainless steel mixing bowls that I pulled from a dumpster my brother rented, as well as wnd chimes. He asked my sister if she knew where the bowls were one day, months later...

I also found previously unseen pictures of my second car. My dad loved collecting pics and was quite the camera bug himself.
