So, I actually upgraded my AIM for the first time in probably over 5 or 6 years.

kihanna made me aware of AIM 7 Beta, and I asked her about it, and it sounded pretty nice! So I thought, hey why not, I'll give it a try.
Also note that last week, my MSN messenger wasn't working so I downloaded the newest version of Windows Live Messenger.

WOO WOO! I'm glad you got it and enjoying it! This is DEFINITELY a positive movement on AIM's part! The interface in a lot of the newer versions were just soooo ugly and dysfunctional. This just looks NICE. & I'm unreasonably ecstatic about 100x100 icons.

WOOHOO!

yeah! I remember seeing a "new" version of aim a couple years ago and I just hated the look of it, this one is refreshing!

Yess that is a really awesome part of it. I like my current icon for now, but if I ever feel like changing I'm glad I won't have to be limited to something so tiny XD (they werent even 50x50! they were like..48x48 kjhdg)

I updated because if Momo likes it, it has to be good.

... because you're right. AIM7 is 9001x better than it's predecessors. Granted, I miss the blocky interface (Even in Windows 7 I use the Classic theme). But overall, it works for me.

ALSO, MSN has been complete sh*t for me as of late. I only use it because my girlfriend will not switch to AIM. She likes the handwriting tool... but MSN has been so buggy and putrid I can't even get it to load half the time.

I'll have to take your word for it. Just recently, my old patched MSN is forcing me to upgrade and I don't want to. So, I'm using Pidgin nowadays for both MSN and AIM.

To be honest, I mostly used MSN since it alerts you who added you to their list, custom emoticons, and the doodling ability. Which the AIM I had didn't have those. >_>
