Guh. This is just awesome. The way they gradually draw together (of course Rory isn't a 'first date' guy) and how he gradually gets more and more comfortable with her, until they're finally together and the revelation arrives and it's just this beautiful perfect moment of being together. Even a nice little reference to that drawing (wth was that thing).

This story was just amazing and wonderful. I love the slow build, and oh dear GOD, the imagery of Rory as the disciplined and dutiful soldier throughout, holding back his emotions, I...guh, it was wonderful! I want to live inside this story, I do! Their coming together, and the discovery that he's the one she's looking for...and Amy is all Amy, sexy and no-nonsense. (I'm trying to make sense here, I really am!) But I just...wow. "Texting and scones!"
