MOTW: X-Men: The Last Stand
Well... I liked it. I'm not a reader of comics, so I have no idea how far the X-Men movies strayed from their comic origins, but all three have been pretty damn good action movies, actually with plots that are consistent and characters you can grow to care about.

See, we do agree on some things.
I was disappointed by the movie, especially after the brilliant job done with the first two. There was plenty of big bangs and action, but little emotional connection to the characters, which hurt the movie, since the story isn't really about superheroes but about people who may or may not superpowers. This coupled with a number of scenes where the actors didn't seem to know what they should be projecting, is usually indicative of bad directing. Although I agree that nobody is as bad a director as George Lucas (who actually is a brilliant producer, but a very poor director).
Given Brett Ratner's other credits this isn't really a surprise, and I would have loved if Joss had of had a hand in it's creation.
So, we actually agree on the same things. It's just that I was expecting something of the calibre of the first two movies. More fool me.
