Pirates of the Caribbean : Dead Man's ChestI didn't see the first Pirates movie in the cinema, I can't remember why. But after a number of recommendations from friends, I bought the DVD without having seen the movie, and enjoyed it immensely. MOTW: X-Men: The Last Stand

Well... I liked it. I'm not a reader of comics, so I have no idea how far the X-Men movies strayed from their comic origins, but all three have been pretty damn good action movies, actually with plots that are consistent and characters you can grow to care about.
