Lord almighty. Did everybody else know this already? George Lucas & co. ripped off Margaret Mitchell. Seriously.

I'm reading Gone With the Wind--and finding it totally cool, by the way--and just came across this little scene between Scarlett and Rhett that looked oddly familiar

Damn, all these years I knew about both scenes and NEVER did I think to put them together!

But yeah, one of the actually witty and hawt romantic scenes in Lucas' movie being fleeced from the classics, meh. Not that surprising to me.

Kind of disappointing, huh. It only jumped out at me because my little sister and I memorized that scene from ESB years ago, thinking it was so cute. I mean, I even have this icon. *sigh*

I remember noticing the movie posters looking the same a long time ago but YEESH! That's TOO similar to be a coincidence.
