That was pretty much the best thing ever. (after the lotr in princess bride quotes though. I don't think anything can be better than that.) This was absolutely great though.

I LOVED the Monkees! My favourite was Peter, though I think Micky would have been the most fun to know.

How about an encounter between each Monkee and a corresponding character from LOTR? Mike could meet...um, Gandalf? Or Aragorn? Micky and Gimli would get along -- if you went by movie!Gimli, anyway. Peter? Um, um...who's cute and not too bright? Oh! Pippin!

Yeah, I think Mike and Gandalf: Aragorn doesn't have enough of a sense of humour. ^_^

And if we're going by tv personality, I'm not sure that Peter/Pippin would work. Pippin may be kind of a dork, but (contrary to common belief) he's not really that dim, esp. if you go by book!Pippin. Micky and Pippin might have a similar sense of mischief...

Yes, instinctively I thought of Micky getting along with Merry and Pippin as well. Peter might do better with some of the dimmer hobbits back in the Shire. :)

That was the best irreverent crossover ever. *snickers* I now have a beautiful image of the Monkee's in braids and Legolas with a tamborine.

You know, I almost included a bit where Davy shows Legolas how to play the maracas...
I think we should definitely keep bows and arrows out of the hands of the Monkees, though. ;)
