The Hugo nominations were announced yesterday, and there's definitely some excellent stuff up for possible awards. Seeing as Sci-Fi is one of my great loves, I thought I'd give the list a going over and check out some of the categories, see if I knew any of the nominated, etc ... These aren't ALL of the noms or all of each category, but I found

Oh wow, as usual I had no idea these were coming up - but hells YEAH to Neil Gaiman. That book is marvellous <3.

And so much Whedon and Who goodness, oh my! And here I go around complaining how the lack of good television recently, hehe ;).

I know, right? Pretty awesome.

Indeed. I always think, 'Gawd, there's nothing good on.' And then I manage to think up about 5 or 6 shows I watch religiously that are airing right now and have to amend it to 'There's nothing good at this very moment on the channels I receive on my package of cable.' XD

Even the cover for Your Hate Mail Will Be Graded is LOLWHUT. Scalzi actually critiques his hate mail and returns to sender, and 'Whatever' is the name of his blog, a name that pretty much sums up what he posts there. So the book's like a 'greatest hits' of blogposts.

There are a lot of great nominees this year!
