Oh Peru, you are long overdue~

Oct 18, 2011 22:19

I'm sort of kind of embarrassed that I have taken so long to post things about my trip to Peru. It was such a jumble of glorious adventure that I don't know if I could accurately describe each event. Thus, I will provide you with some pictures, names of places, and a few thoughts here and there. I apologize that some of the photos are large and ( Read more... )

Awwww, you. Overdue, baby. Overdo? XD

The pics from Macchu Picchu are insane. I can't believe it's so green and vertical. It's like vegetation growing on jenga blocks. Wow!

I'm facepalming so hard right now. Eeeeeesh. This is what happens when you've been going for sixteen hours, lol. Thank YOU for pointing that out!

And yes, sooooo green, sooooo vertical. I love that analogy!

I'm sorry...I'm still recovering from my unfathomable typo. I feel...dirty somehow. Haha.

LOL maybe I shouldn't have said anything, because the first draft was like... a pure, unedited mohanrocks experience. Full on, uncensored. All the way. I'm not surprised you feel dirty.

Yesss, you should go! I love that seeing the world is an ambition of yours. It's one of mine, too. We will most definitely see the world! :D

YES WE WILL. One day. I don't think there's a country I wouldn't want to visit tbh. I need a teleporting machine or something. OR A TARDIS OMG.

Actually, I'm doing my own mini travel thingy in January. SEW excited!!

YES. I know so many people who are just content to stay where they are. I don't get it. The world is such a big and beautiful place! We should take advantage of that ;)

Actually, if I could have one superpower, it would totally be the ability to teleport. I could go allll over the place! And I could also sleep until the last minute in the mornings, lol.

YOU ARE? Ooooh, do tell! Where are you headed? :D

Ohhh, I think that would be such an interesting place to visit! I've been watching all these videos about Machu Pichu and ... eherm, aliens. >_>

The terracing freaks me out because I'm afraid of heights. I would be terrified of just...tripping. And where would you stop? O_o It had to be insane building all of that.

I'm not surprised that there's talk of aliens! It doesn't seem like humans could have built it. So high up on the mountains, with such heavy stones and crude building techniques. Yeah, let's just go with aliens. :D

It was a little scary at times. There aren't any safety railings like we put all over the place in the U.S. It's kind of "explore at your own risk". But there were set pathways and as long as you didn't stray, it wasn't too bad!

But yes, if you tripped...it would be a bad fall :O It was worth the risk though!

Wow, the pictures were so beautiful! I loved the woman with the goat in the sling. I used to carry my baby like that. haha. I loved the moss colored mountain, stairs, and then the plain stairs. IDKY but I really love pictures of things like that. These were beautiful but I would love more pics of the actual wedding.

Awww I love seeing babies in things like that! I really love pictures of nature and ruins too. There's just something magical about them. I really adore how that stairs picture turned out. It's simple and yet so complex.

The professional photos that were taken from straight on and after the wedding, should be developed soon! And then I will most definitely share. :D I haven't even gotten to see any yet and I can't wait.

I'm so glad you enjoyed the pictures!

Oh, it's gorgeous there! You take really lovely photos. It looks like it was a beautiful wedding. The little girl with the goat is simply precious. I love llamas from far away, but not so much within spitting distance. Glad you had a wonderful time!

Thank you so much! It really was so gorgeous. My family is apparently going back in five years. I'm so excited!

The wedding was soooo cool, Zeph. I can't wait to post better pictures. Isn't that girl and goat just heart-melting? I wanted to take them home!

Funny you should say that about llamas and spitting. My friend Holly got spat on during the trip! I felt bad...but it was also hilarious, hehe.

It was quite wonderful, thank you! <3
