We currently have a lost beagle on the line in our backyard. No one has come looking for him yet and Drew even walked him up and down our street, but no one came running for him. He has three tags, none of which have a name or phone number on them. He's got his rabies tag, a tag from the vet, which is closed, and his microchip ID number. When we

Oh good. We used to have a beagle. He was a sweet thing, but not the brightest bulb in the box. Of course, he was smarter than Remy.

Oh, I'm so glad! When my beagle was spry and not sixteen years old, he used to run away all the time. Constantly. The police got to know him very well; eventually we learned to trust that somebody would find him and bring him home, but that moment of terror and heartbreak when you realize he's gone it just awful. Hooray for him going home!
