Hi!

As many of you may know, I am currently working on a feature film, The Ballad of Burd Janet. The film draws its inspiration from the Scottish ballad Tam Lin and the decadent 1920s. Hey Chelsea, I have 3 rolls of Plus-X Reversal, BW, 7276 Kodak film, and 2 Tri-X Reversal, BW, 7278. Have any use for these? They've been sitting in my fridge for quite some time, and I'm dying to put them to good use. If I can't use them, might as well give it to someone else who can. I also have a Bolex, if you need to use it.

Hey, at least I'm actually old enough to be her mom! That's a change from most modern film-making. But so you know, at least as of last year, I'm about a foot taller than her. Maybe she's grown since Patri reintroduced me to her at Boskone. Hopefully, you don't need us to stand right next to each other in any of the flashbacks. Or maybe you should cast a circus midget as her dad ;)

well, in the seance you're in different shots. there's no standing-directly-next-to-each-other shot in the flashback...but she's also playing a twelve-year-old in that scene, so it can work. we can make it work. :)

Seriously, Tam Lin?

I have the Fairport Convention version of that song. It's beyond awesome. This project has me intrigued.

"tam lin". seriously. i grew up with fairport and this story has been in my life since i was a wee bairn.
