it makes my heart glad that the boston public library owns two copies of all of nashville pussy's recorded output. granted, they're in pristine condition, but it's nice that they're there.

has anyone seen this? i am very curious about it, even though the vhs copy to which i have access is apparently somewhat lacking. (oh, for a film of the ( Read more... )

it's not so much that it's nashville pussy as that it's nashville pussy cds at my library. they're beneath my radar, but seeing those spines in the bins is funny.

i went all the way out to hyde park and borrowed it today. unfortunately, one of the imdb reviews suggests that the original vhs transfer (and this one is from 1984 -- about as "original vhs" as you can get) is nearly unwatchable. i'm probably going to watch it on sunday eve. the fact that menotti himself directed the film on the stage where it was initially performed makes me very curious.
