Is this fic how you think their relationship would be like in canon if Cora had lived? Regina remaining afraid of Cora and Cora sorta sad but understanding? I always wonder how it would have been like if Cora hadn't died.

Yeah, definitely. You don't get past years of abuse over night. Regina loved her mother, but she was very afraid of her. I think that's why she helped Cora at the end. She had none at Storybrooke and she was afraid of what Cora could do to Henry if Regina didn't go her way.

I really believe that.

My readers wouldn't, but I would! I have way too many fics that I need to finish (The Need and a couple others that I haven't post yet), the birthdays one...sighs.
