What will the third thing be?

Nov 10, 2010 18:15

It has been the most ridiculous day ever. Went to a meeting with my manager and a developer, felt slight discomfort in my eye, went back to my desk. Another colleague asked me a question, I turned to answer her, and she looked aghast - a blood vessel had burst in my eye.

I had that happen to me after a cycling accident a few years ago - in both eyes. Just before Halloween.

I don't know if that timing is better or worse tbh. At least you fit in!

You know, sometimes bad things just come in twos. One week when I was 15, I broke both my front teeth, and then a few days later was hit by a car. And that was the end of it.

You can stop at two, too.

I think two teeth and a car crash count as three.

But it was only one hit to the mouth. One incident.

And it wasn't so much a car crash as it was getting hit crossing the street on foot. Leg crash. Bad week.

Eurgh. That's dramatic. I was in sixth-form Greek class with a member of the English junior karate squad, and that's what she often looked like after a weekend competition - you could try telling people you're a karate champ?

My ex-manager says he's a black belt. I suppose I could call his bluff, but he might get the other eye.

Ouch. And entirely spontaneously? Wow. Was it an agitated meeting?

No! It was entirely laid back! And I didn't cough or sneeze before which can do it...
