I totally LOVED Rang de Basanti. I thought it was clever and slick in more or less all respects. At par with international movies and better in execution than many international counterparts. Rakesh Sharma used to be an ad-man, so I guess that flavor remained a bit. I thought the concept was totally brilliant and well executed. Incidentally, he had conceptualized this as a patriotic movie, but looking at the Bhagat Singh movie barrage a couple of years back, he re-did the script (a total of 19 times, he says).
