For some reason, she felt the urge to check at that place where his brother worked and where his mother stayed. She didn't even bother knocking at the door and walked inside. Taking a quick look around and a deep breath she found her way to where Vergil was. For a moment, it felt like her heart was about to shatter in her chest, but nothing like that ever happened to Laura.
Leaning against a wall close to him, Laura sighed a little. She wasn't sure what to say; he had been standoffish to her and he hadn't been like that for a while. Something was wrong and she wanted to know what it was. "Are you going to talk to me or not? I want to help you, Vergil."

"I highly doubt that you drove anyone away," for once her voice sounded like she cared. It no longer had that hard edge to it. "Tell me what happened -- I am here for you and I will not abandon you."
