[ For when Rebecca gets back, there's a trail of rose petals leading to the apartment. At the end of the trail lies a massive pile of gifts she's always wanted, and dinner. BECAUSE WE ALL KNOW VERGIL CAN COOK. ]
[Rebecca lets herself into the apartment, dropping her keys on the side table by the door. There's a delicious smell from the kitchen, so she knows Vergil's already home. Not for the first time, she's grateful that she married a man who knows how to cook.]
I'm home!
[She doesn't notice the rose petals right away, not until after she kicks off her shoes. She follows the trail to the kitchen curiously, not sure what she'll find when she gets there.]

Welcome home.
[ He walks over to her, gently covering her eyes as he guides her the rest of the way. Finally, they stop at the pile of gifts. ]
...open them. [ He says, softly. ]

These are all for me? Oh, Vergil, you shouldn't have!
[Turning to face him, she leans up to kiss him soundly. She has to stand on her toes to reach, curling her fingers in his shirt for balance.]
Thank you.
