Yes, I know I'm being a weather wimp, but I'm freezing! Despite the cold, it's definitely been worth it. I've been training for a week, and so far, I love my job! This week, I got paid to play around in our challenge course and hike around in the woods learning our orienteering courses and wetlands ecology class. Awesome! I did it!! Today, I turned in the 2nd (and longest) chapter of my thesis to my advisor. After weeks and weeks of slaving, I was finally satisified enough to hand it over. So I've been pushing really hard this week to finish a draft of my thesis. I worked all of Monday, didn't sleep Tuesday night and continued right until I passed out at 1:30pm on Wednesday (at my desk in the lab) after not having slept for over 32 hours. So I just got back my advisor's edits on the into, methods and results sections of the biggest chapter of my thesis. Other than the first couple pages (which look like a massacre due to the amount of red ink on them), it's not too bad. Which kind of leads me to wonder if he actually read the rest.... So I know that I keep posting about bad things, but that's because bad things keep happening. This time, my car died. Seriously, I can't go a day without something happening. Today cannot bode well for me. It is Friday the 13th, and I've already had enough freakishly bad things happen in the last week.
