You know the sort I mean - the sort who reckon pole dancing, corset-wearing and dressing in the tiniest of skirts and tops is empowering,

There's a book about this, The Rise of Raunch Culture, I think.

Vegetarianism by no means guarantees the good treatment of animals, either, and it allows people to morally cop out of other responsibilities with regards to the food industry.

And ja, I have read a few excerpts from the Rise of Raunch Culture (I'm actually really bad at reading long non-fiction books), and she seems to be onto something.

I have a dream that one day morals and reason will exist on the same plane without causing a combustion. ONE GLORIOUS DAY.

I think it's the concept of "Post-Feminism" that irks me. "Post-", as though equality has in fact been achieved, when even a glance at pay scales will tell you that's not the case.
