Most of the time when I watch the amazing race I am looking at the relationships between the couples. My poor kids because it becomes a lesson in love and respect whenever that show is on. I guess it might be a good thing because how else would they see prime examples of what works and what doesn't

I think it's different strokes for different folks, you know? When I am tired and frustrated and annoyed, I start calling Chris names. Chris is like a teflon pan...nothing sticks to him. He usually turns it into a joke, and makes me laugh, which diffuses the tension I'm feeling.
To an outsider, it would probably look pretty damn bad - especially if I was edited, so that his jokes and our laughter weren't shown, just my constant calling him a poophead or an asshole. But in our marriage, which is as strong as just about any relationship could ever be...it works.
Know what I'm saying? Our kids just have to know themselves, and like their partners.
