You've inspired me! I've resolved to brown bag it more often to save money and eat healthier, and I think packing a cute bento box would really help me maintain my resolution!! I hope I can find some premade dumplings somewhere near me.

Gyoza are actually really easy to make if you've got a bit of time. I find the bagged ones are a little too small and you don't get too many...If you make'em yourself, you can have all sorts of different fillings and you can make a good amount each time, then freeze them.

I agree, her blog is so inspiring! I wish I had a job so I could put together a bento each day.. *sighs*

Sure you can! I work from home and I still pack bentos.. its a good way to help regulate how much you eat (portion control!) and it's fun! :)

Ha ha, that was what I thought, too! I think she means that they're actually vegetarian, just shaped like normal chicken nuggets?

Exactly! They are veggie nuggets, and Trader Joe's actually calls them 'chickenless nuggets', which I thought was pretty funny. :D

Ooooh, daifuku. I loves me some daifuku. Don't try making them, though, unless you're in a really patient mood.

They just got minneolas in my grocery store. I wasn't impressed, but that may have been because they were dehydrated. When I picked some up, the fruit rattled inside its rind! I got a few that didn't rattle, but it was still not too juicy.

Oh, I tried making daifuku. I threw away the first batch. The second was good (I made ichigo), but then I ruined it by putting it in the fridge - the mochi got all hard. :(

My minneola was super juicy!

A little microwaving can soften up hardened mochi. Doesn't do wonders for the strawberry, though.

Yeah - the strawberry leaked a little water while it was in there too. I just have to wait for a lot of people to make it so that they will get eaten all at once. :P

Ah...a meeting of the bento minds. :)

And I like chicken in my nuggets too. I bought these by accident. I just didn't read the "less" after the chicken. Haha!
