Put my WHAT dress on?

Hey, guys! I have a question.

Today through various adventures in clicking on links, I discovered Beyonce's song Freakum Dress. A fun song, that. XD

It did bring to my attention that I do not own a "Freakum Dress," though she specifically says that every woman does in the video. Now, just to clarify, I did not actually take that seriously, but it ( Read more... )

My thoughts aren't going to be too coherent since its early morning, but I know what you mean. I put on a good bit of weight a few years ago and haven't lost it so feel like I shouldn't show too much.

Yet I love dressing up and enjoy wearing shirts with vee necks to show off my necklaces and things like that. Culture and bodies are hard, feeling good about yourself and enjoying your own sensuality and sexuality is good too.

Its complicated and slightly different for everyone. Try on lots of different types of outfits and think about how they make you feel and go from there.

No, that's perfectly coherent! I guess that's all that really matters, is how you feel in something, the more that I think about it.

Because we should all learn to love our bodies, but maybe some of us aren't good at it right away and we'd like to cover some things up. Or, we totally love our bodies even, but we still prefer to draw more attention to what we consider our best features.

I love V-necks too! Deep ones are yummy as well. :3 I had to leave a lot of my shirts back in the States because they show a bit of cleavage, and I hear that's a no-no here in Japan. XD

I struggle with this, too.

I think absolutely people should wear what make them feel good, but there are some things that I personally would never wear because I feel like they don't improve my looks at all, that maybe I would at least try once if I were a lot thinner. Maybe. Some clothes, I think, shouldn't be worn by anyone.

But I also think that with some looking, anyone can find clothes that are both "sexy" and also fit well. Fit is more important than specific style, when it comes to being flattering.
