One of the problems I have with Dancing with the Stars is that they are trying to be more audience-friendly by picking more pop music to dance to (as opposed to more traditional music). The problem is that most of the dancers don't have the skills to really be able to pull off such a stunt. :-/ It'd probably be more tolerable if they used recorded versions instead of the crappy live ones.

Yep. Either use recorded versions or hand out to the viewing audience the same drugs they're taking when they make the choices. (Just kidding, of course!) I can understand why they shy away from instrumental ballroom dance music, but some of the choices this year have been pretty inappropriate. And then the judges criticize the dancers for basically doing the best they can with music that doesn't fit their dance at all (as they did with Jesse's girl which is in no way a tango!). At least it's funny and cheesey and for the most part the people who should still be around are, but still...
