Amazing Race
I don’t have much to say. Just, eh. And it’ll be a while before the next one. January, maybe. :(
Dancing with the Stars
The hell?!?! The people who do the music for this show need to put down the crack pipe! A tango to Jessie’s Girl? Imagine?!? My Darlin’ Clementine as a paso doble? WTF!! That was insane!
Also, can we please, please, please send Billy Ray Cyrus home already?
American Idol
Songs spoilers here. Plus the article is loads of fun.
LaKisha’s choices:
Run To Me
Stayin' Alive
Stayin’ Alive could be a blast. Run to Me, on the other hand. I dunno. That’s a hard song to pull off without sounding too slow and possibly even depressing.
Melinda’s choices:
How Can You Mend a Broken Heart
Loves You Inside Out
How Can You Mend a Broken Heart could potentially be awesome. I think she’ll really knock that one out. I’d gone blank on Loves You Inside Out, but I listened to the clip on amazon.com and I remember it. It has a good melody and she should be absolutely fine with it.
Jordin’s choices:
To Love Somebody
Woman In Love
Jordin’s playing to her strengths with two long, slow ballads with glory notes. Blah. Talk about a one-trick pony! I’m so ready for this little girl to go home and I’m so worried that thanks to the judge’s over-pimping of her she’s going to knock out someone (either Blake or Melinda) who should be in the F2. Also, I’m having a lot of trouble imagining her pulling off Woman in Love, in fact I think it will be awful, but I have no trouble at all imagining Randy shouting that she was better than Barbra and unbelievable because she’s only SEVENTEEN!!!11eleventysquee!!. Gag.
Blake’s choices:
You Should Be Dancing
This Is Where I Came In
I had never heard of the second one before. If you belong to
theblakergirls, someone’s posted a download of it over there. It is a great Blake song, so I’m really looking forward to it. It has the potential to give him the best performance of the night. I’m a little more nervous over You Should Be Dancing. It could be very cool and fun or kind of scary. But, I’m hoping he Blakeizes the heck out of it without beatboxing too much, which would, of course, make it all kinds of awesome.
Woo! Go Blake! I’ll post phone numbers (correctly this time) the second I know them.
