as someone who by necessity still has her big toe dipped in the pool of James Marsters fandom - I was nodding all the way through that. Sadly there's more than one or two who fit that description in that community.
I was fairly certain i'd left my love of 'fandom' behind, til i jumped into the LoM/JS pool - and touch wood so far so good with this new group of people. They're all friendly, generous and kind (so far)- I'm sure as time goes on tho, there will be 'bad fans' there too ... I'll just try not to let those ones spoil my enjoyment of the rest of the group.
With LoM, I believe your safe. The show is done, so all that's left are What Ifs and "Wasn't that great?" It won't attract too many new fans, and those new fans that seek out the fandom will come to it with a happy, light heart.
You want bad fans, wander into Doctor Who. *eye roll* You would think a kid's show who's basic message is goodness, creativity and intelligence wouldn't attract bad fans.
