I am so frikkin tired of this table in my living room! It must go back into the sewing room post haste! Unfortunately I only have one corner of the sewing room cleared out. And yes, I'm procrastinating getting back in there and doing more ( Read more... )

Hey, if your calcium intake's at all low be VERY careful about the shin splints. They could actually be warning signs of micro stress fractures. Friend of mine was getting those all thru basic training once & eh ignored it & one day his leg snapped. Drs said he had low bone density & a history of low calcium intake in his diet.

Yikes! I'm very careful to get in my dairy - at least one glass of milk, usually yogurt for breakfast or later in the day, and cottage cheese before bed on days I workout. The dairy also helps with skin elasticity and to stave off osteoporosis (a concern at my age).

That's a good thing then. The other consideration might be to remember pain like that can be a warning sign & if it's getting bad take a break for a couple of days & ride a bike or swim instead.

New shoes may very well help, too, as you noted.
