A New Year

Jan 03, 2005 02:45

My New Year was all right. Drifted off to sleep fifteen minutes before midnight, then was rudely awakened by what sounded like an explosion at 11:58pm. I guess someone was in a hurry to celebrate or was too buzzed to notice they were a tad early. Either way, I wasn't very happy for being scared awake. lol. I'm not sure what it was, even though I ( Read more... )

Lol at the online stalking thing;) Just don't stalk me ok? *puts baby face on*;)

I have to say I also hate people throwing so many fireworks on New Year's, especially those little ones that can even kill you if it gets into your face...that's why I was glad when I got off the main road into the crowd because there as soon as you're between people or even if you are with more people, it's much safer...and I don't get it since it is forbidden to throw such things within towns where there are buildings all around, the cops didn't do anything, even though people were doing that in the middle of the city centre which was extremely dangerous, as there were quite a few children there too...

Glad it still was ok though:) And you're just like my parents...they dozed off even sooner, at 11pm even...lol

Hmm. No comment to the online stalker bit. ;)

They were throwing them in the city? I've never been able to understand that. My family has only used fireworks once when I was around. We saw some on a roadtrip, but didn't know what all they were, then picked up a bunch. My grandmother had bought a vacation home on the lake where our only neighbors were family, which is why we got them. Went there to set them off, but they were all very tame and quiet.

I was just tired because I had only had four hours of sleep the night before. Wasn't anywhere near awake enough to stay up until midnight. lol.

Ah, it can be hard to get the motivation to keep those goals. A reminder is always a good way to help. ;)

Heh, I'm one of those girls everyone hates. It has been my goal to gain weight since I was fourteen, but I've only been able to gain ten pounds (I was underweight when I started). I can gain one pound if I eat three of those brownie earthquake things from DQ a week, but that isn't very healthy. I'm stuck with a fourteen year old's body, thanks to my grandmother. lol. I do love her though. :)

omg, lucky you. my family though (mom's side) were all slim before they got married and had kids, then after they pretty much ballooned. i am not even slim to start, so its scary to think i'd be bigger than what i am now if i have kids! waaah!

I guess I am lucky, though I do have trouble convincing anyone I'm not fourteen. ;)

Maybe things will be easier for you. There are more people you can go to if you need help with nutrition around that time. It is hard to lose the weight quickly, but it can be possible. You could even end up not having a problem with losing the weight at all. :)
