On Friday, Ray and I went out and saw Broken Flowers at the Landmark Harvard End Theater in the Capital Hill neighborhood of Seattle. The movie sucked. It had a lot of promise, tons of actresses I usually enjoy, and it starred Bill Murray, which usually sells me on a movie even if nothing else about it seems worth wasting my time on. That was such a wonderfully low key and relaxing weekend! Thank you again for having invited me.

I hope your visit to the parents is going well, and I hope you're settled in and comfortable in your new home soon, too. I miss you, too. I wish I could have been their for the last porch celebration.

oh no! i saw broken flowers at the harvard exit this weekend also, with a co-worker. i liked it, although i agree the ending was kind of MEH! and it wasn't the most exciting use of bill murray i've ever seen.

i'm glad you guys are settling in a little. you know me out here! we should do stuff, and um, stuff. if you ever want to see a movie or go to a show or whatever...let me know :)

We should get together sometime ... though I'm not really sure what to recommend, but even just grabbing a drink over in your neighborhood would be fun. Or a movie would be good too. I'll email my phone #, and you should send me yours.

Thanks Jill. I hope you're feeling better, too. It's OK to complain, though, any time you want. I think that might be a big part of what your LJ friends are here for.

Welcome to Seattle, Mel. It's a great city, despite its flaws (traffic, indecisiveness, dark rainy winters, etc.). There are plenty of writers, artists, musicians, which livens up the place. You can also find groups focusing on foreign language, in case you want to brush up.
