More About Being Sick

We checked a lot of things and decided to do extra checking on UTI. The results came four days later, so the doctor had me start a traditional med -- cipro -- the day after the tests. I was still having problems (shaking, sweating and producing salt, fevers), so when the results from the UTI came on Monday and it turned out to be a particularly ( Read more... )

That sounds like a lot of no fun. I hope the new meds work fast!

They seem to be -- not fixed yet, but I'm able to eat the right amount of food now. Thanks!

Hope you feel better soon, Marilee. I am also on a strong antibiotic and stuff (sinus)as well as changing depression meds, plus I am doing very poorly since multiple-insurance problems are complicating me getting the reservoir for my c-pap machine replaced (last week it started sending up pink plastic particles and something I think may be rust along with the moist air) and so I really don't get any quality sleep. I don't think it's safe to use the c-pap with that stuff going into my airways. So I am sleep deprived therefore nothing makes sense when I attempt to read. When you feel better, please look up those where you got those metal collapsible glasses you ordered online and call me with the info. I've had several pairs break of glass frames break recently. I hope at least the cats are faring well. Miss you - Cyndi from bookclub

Well, this is the third day that I've been able to eat what I'm supposed to. I'm not shaking as much, but I'm still delivering salt to the bed and myself.

No, you shouldn't use the c-pap with the pellets going out. Who authorized it to start with?

I think these are what you mean -- they don't really collapse, but you can move them. I wear them for reading in bed and the frame bounces right back where it's to go.

The cats seem annoyed because I keep moving them away from my feet in the bed -- that's part of the sweating.

Yes, it seems to. I may have to go to my clinic and psy for a couple of pages of my chart since I can't get anybody to tell me what was wrong! Thanks!

Yurght! Glad to hear that they've at least figured out what sort of UTI it is, and have you on the right meds -- it sucks to be sick, but it sucks worse when they can't figure out what's going on, and nothing seems to help :(
