Frustrating as they are, I'd support a stricter system around here for new drivers - seems like every day there's another fatal crash, and a lot of times it includes the driver and several friends.

I know the system is a good thing, but even with it young drivers have a bad name (whiohc is essentially the reason why we have it) mostly because they do think the rules are too strict so they feel like they shouldn't have to obey them. It's a pretty vicious cycle, actually :/
