[Make up a story, or tell the truth? Honestly, the truth is less believable than what she can come up with.]

You're normally only ill with flu-like symptoms for one to three days. I recall thinking I was completely recovered the next day... until I tried to cast some very simple Magic. It went haywire. I'm not sure if my Magic would have acted so badly if I hadn't tried to...

... because later I used my magic again... one of my morphing spells... and I was stuck in hat form for three days.

Everyone is different, but if you have magic or an ability. It's wise to not use it for a week or two after your chip is removed. There is a safe house too, specially if your magic or ability is a subconscious one.

So it's worse if you try to use your abilities. I'd need to stay away from people if mine was removed...

What's the safe house?

... you were stuck in 'that' form?

NOT A HAT! I TYPOED! D:> loyal_cube August 16 2010, 22:03:15 UTC
What type of ability do you have, Fujiwara-san?

The Safe House was built so those with potentially destructive abilities had a safe place they could stay where they could not harm others while they recover from the effects of the chip's absence.

...

A-Ah... I have magic where can change the shape I am. I can change into a dog whenever and as long as I please... where as I have another form that makes me taller but only lasts 3 minutes a day. I was stuck in that taller form for three days. it was actually pretty nice. I- I wish I could do that normally.

I've been attempting to find out why it happened as well, though I've been having little luck.

As for the chips, it seems that if you possess some manner of -- (here she pauses, because she's still having trouble grasping the concept of 'special powers') -- extraordinary ability, the effects after having your chip removed are more severe.

Someone has to know. At the time, I was... not able to pay attention.

I wonder why that is. Or, why chips are placed in people even if they don't have abilities.

Some have suggested that the chips are placed in every person transported here are done so in a surveillance effort.

Then why are we allowed to remove them? The Scientists could stop us if they wanted to.

It happened around the time those big things showed up, didn't it?

Big things... you mean those dangerous monsters? It happened a little after that, I think.

It's still blurry to me! I guess I really am getting old. [...] Aaaah! I-is this what you call a midlife crisis? It's too early for that!

It's probably just your imagination. You don't seem old to me.
