I've been attempting to find out why it happened as well, though I've been having little luck.

As for the chips, it seems that if you possess some manner of -- (here she pauses, because she's still having trouble grasping the concept of 'special powers') -- extraordinary ability, the effects after having your chip removed are more severe.

Someone has to know. At the time, I was... not able to pay attention.

I wonder why that is. Or, why chips are placed in people even if they don't have abilities.

Some have suggested that the chips are placed in every person transported here are done so in a surveillance effort.

Then why are we allowed to remove them? The Scientists could stop us if they wanted to.

Perhaps they're interested in observing what would happen if those aforementioned abilities were allowed to perform unchecked.

So...in a way it would be two experiments. One to keep track of us, the other to see what we can do.

Maybe they're looking for one kind of ability... they might need it for something.

With so many people here, it's a bit surprising that they haven't found it already, though I must wonder what the criteria for being brought here are, if they had no idea of prior abilities -- I've heard from many people that the scientists' main goal in transporting everyone here is rebuilding the city, though I've seen little evidence to support it.

Maybe not rebuilding... I think they want us to do something. Some people have powers that could fix the soil, or the buildings, or... I don't know. If they wanted us to use human abilities, they should've given us tools to work with.
