ice cream, charming child & guinness

So far I have made one amazingly successful batch of vanilla ice cream, a frozen chocolate mousse, and a crystalized lump of strawberry blah. This is *not* my usual kind of treat-making record, and I’m perturbed by it.

My mom and I used to make chocolate chip meringue cookies ALL the time! (Which may really mean three or four times, but my memory is ALL THE TIME.) Those, and blond brownies. And, yes, I recall being told in later years how difficult meringue was, but it was something we just did.

(And, yes. Best when very fresh.)

Oh, and when I was about 20, I made Chicken Kiev for my then boyfriend and it was stellar, and I thought, pretty easy. It was only later that I found out it was supposed to be nearly impossible to get right :-)

However, I can't make a decent burger to save my life.

lots of cream and strawberries for not ultra fresh meringue. Yum... Though I prefer pavlova.
