many things, or as many as I can write before needing to work

I've begun to get photos up from Geni and Kevin's visit (as well as at kitsnaps, where the better stuff is posted). It was a good visit; we went to Cashel and Fota and Cobh and did a wander around Cork on the hop-on-hop-off bus, which wasn't nearly as entertaining as last year's bus to Blarney, so we'll have to do that again some other time. That happens a lot, since I tend to be behind the camera. :) I have no idea if there are any pictures of me from the weekend or not. :)

Have you visited Cork City Jail? The first time I was there the hairs stood up on my head - and you know how difficult that is.

I hope the audio-visual display in the tower is working when you do. It was very emotional.

Covers are transitory; text is forever. You know that every time they print a new edition they'll go with a new cover; you're not going to rewrite every time to match the picture, so why start? It's the artist's job to make their vision match with yours, not the other way around.

Etc. *is firm*

I rewrote the entire main setting based on a cover, not because I wanted it to match, but because what the artist had come up with was much cooler than my original vision. I had to re-block a lot of scenes, but it was worth it.

Rewriting a dress seems like not a lot of effort, and if it creates coherence in the readers' minds, why not?

Go, you, on the yoga and ballet! Glad your feet aren't hurting.

"I did not get a box of *my* books in the mail yesterday, but I did get a copy of jimhines's GOBLIN QUEST, about Jig the reluctant goblin adventurer, which I am greatly looking forward to reading. :)"

This is next on my TBR shelf bumping a lot of other books, since we just got our copy.
I'm really looking forward to it.

It would be on my list if I had it, but instead I only have the second one, Goblin Hero! Bah!
