Over the last couple of months I have gotten *lots* of emails saying, "I've visited your website and don't see anything saying there will be more Walker Papers! Don't tell me the series is ending! Augh!" I could've sworn I had something about it posted on cemurphy.net, but let me just make it clear ( Read more... )

Thank GOD! But 2 years??? anonymous July 15 2007, 01:08:52 UTC
I'm glad there are so many more books coming out between now and then. Are they all going to be published by Luna? I notice they are only doing 1 a month and there was at least 2 months they didn't do any at all. Luna books are great. Fantasy for chicks!

The Negotiator Trilogy will be out from Luna. The Inheritors' Cycle will be out from Del Rey. :)

Sorry, Kit, but nothing can salve the pain of having to wait another two years for another Walker Papers book. Especially not the additional pain of being left hanging in the middle of a couple of other undoubtedly fantastic series.:-)

Well, the Negotiator Trilogy is *only* a trilogy, so you'll get that whole story a-bingity-bangity-bong. We'll see how many books there end up being in the Inheritors' Cycle. I've sold two; I think I'd like to write 5. :)

Finally, what I've been waiting for--a list of forthcoming books. This is not to say I won't have a hard time waiting for the next Walker Papers book(s), but yes, I'll have something to keep me occupied in the intervening two years. I'll just wait here, in my little corner, waiting for a scrap of writing from one of my favorite new authors to tide me over until I get to find out what happens after the bomb has been dropped in the first CEM series. Sniff, sniff, don't mind me.

laughing yet?

I'm still going to be missing Joanne! Considering this series led me to actually investigate Shamanism as an actual religious practice and begin journeying myself... the series means a lot to me. So, like everyone else -- yay for new books! I shall most certainly read them. But, alas, as this series has actually become my #1 favorite (and for a lifetime reader and English teacher, that says a lot!) I will miss Gary, Joanne, Morrison, Billie, and, well, everyone!
