While I haven't been writing Harper's Island lately, Madison's still been in my head. The following two sketches are creepy, but not at all gory, and the subject matter shouldn't squick anyone. It really isn't (though yay for you seeing the muscle in it), but it got me in the right frame of mind. I will definitely be going back to that source material at some point.

The first drawing I almost didn't post, but since it's part of the process, I decided to go ahead. But yeah, the second one makes me happy, because it really did what I wanted it to, which doesn't happen as often as I'd like.
Hope you got some rest, because soon there will be fangirl time which means NO SLEEP!

I use a high-H pencil for lines before I ink because they're easy to erase but that's about all the use I have for them! :D

As for H pencils, I like richer/more textured shading than they give, so I haven't used them much. But they were *perfect* for some of the bone work, and even more so for the ground. They really gave it a flat, smooth feel, and kept it more clinical, if that makes sense. All I now is it appealed to Madison to have that effect. And I am NOT arguing with her *shivers*
