washington d.c. is a pretty awesome time. natural history museum is totally sweet. also there's plenty of good restaurants.

If you're tooling about Ohio, a "tourist trap" that I fell in love with was Lehman's Hardware out in Kidron. It's an "Amish hardware store" which means that some of the stuff is useless and overpriced, but I got a DAMN good deal on a mortar and pestle (it was normally $50, 8" and solid marble but I got it for half that). It's all non-electric but there are a lot of things that I found interesting ( ... )

Go up to the Lake Erie Islands, especially Put-In-Bay. They're touristy as hell, but there's such a guilty pleasure to that. They're crowded and wild and drunk (especially on the weekends), but there's some cool touristy stuff like the wineries and the caves etc.

I'm assuming you've been to see the Serpent Mound, in Ohio?
