New Layout and New Art

Heya! I've just changed my LJ layout for the first time in years, because I wanted to be able to use my gorgeous artwork that I commissioned from the lovely AxlRosie (originally for my gaming YouTube channel but I love it to pieces and want to use it everywhere)! :D

First thing I notice: "hey, that sword looks RIGHT! Yay!"

Clearly I've been hanging around reenactors for a bit too long. Being the unofficial assistant of a cutler/swordsmaker doesn't help, probably XD I didn't know you were into swordfighting/HEMA/re-enactment stuff, too! That's awesome.

And the artwork is really awesome too :D

Ah, yes, I used to be part of a historical and theatrical fencing club a few years ago. I had to quite because I didn't have enough time to give to it, but I miss it a lot. I might pick it up again at some point, hitting on people with a sword is a lot of fun. :P

That's pretty cool! I don't do much swordfighting myself. I tend to cower a lot, hurting people isn't really my type of sport - also generally I'm not very good at it, though I'll definitely have to attend training more regulary next year.

Historical stuff generally is a lot of fun, though! We were at Stirling castle last weekend doing various shows, it was nice :D
