Collins is certain that he has better things to do with his time other than a paper that nine year olds would write well.

Then again, being in the library is never that much of a chore. He can probably find something to distract himself.

Libraries do have their uses. Especially the ones that aren't at Juilliard.
If Collins is looking for a distraction, he might well find one poking around the stacks.
