Neytiri could have stepped from the Dreaming and Tiwa smiles as she stands up, feeling rather more like a little bird,

"Haere Mai, ma'am."

Neytiri is still half-crouched, her golden eyes wide, darting from place to place.

They light on the small human female, and a snarl twists her lips.

"Where have you taken me, skywalker?"

Tiwa blinks since the name is actually oddly appropriate,

"Don't think I've taken you anywhere. You came through a door."

Her ears flatten close to her skull, and she sinks into a fighting stance, her eyes still darting around. Her hand hovers over her knife, but she hasn't seen a threat worthy of drawing it yet.

"This is not Omaticaya territory."

"Prrrt?"

Well, it's the closest one can get to the particular curious trilling sound the Huragok makes as it peers at the unbelievably antiquated piece of equipment it's just found. Is that a cathode ray tube?

The white noise flickers and resolves with a loud burst of static.

A humanoid face appears, only he's oriented ninety degrees off center.

"H-h-hello? Is that is that my tea? Tea?"

Lucky thing Vergil has no issues with following the motion. Alas, he can only spread his forward tentacles wide- no, no tea, not that he saw.

Hrm. This thing doesn't look like it's got a transmitter...

"What the? Where am am am I? Th-Th-This isn't the newsroom!"

The figure zooms in closer, his figure getting large and his face screwing up as he peers at the alien.

"Is it Thanksgiving-giving already? Are you f-from-from Macy's?"

The television set is the first thing Theora notices when she comes in. Instead of going straight to it, however, she goes to the bar first. She orders herself a cup of coffee, takes a sip, and then heads over.

"My, my, aren't you out of place," she murmurs, more to herself than to the set.

The static shivers and resolves into a laugh.

Max appears with his trademark huge grin.

"Theora, darling-ling. Did you bring me h-h-here?"

"It wasn't my work," Theora responds, taking a seat near the television.

"You seem to be enjoying yourself well enough."

Max grins, the image twisting and shimmering from side to side.

"Well, if you didn't, who d-d-d-did? Carter? I didn't sign up for a location-cation shoot!"

"Didn't your mother ever tell you not to play with your food?"

Fields' smile gives away her mock-reproachful remark as she slides into the booth next to Gilbert, reaching up to brush a hand over his forehead.

"Smile for us, won't you? That frown doesn't suit you."

"Oh it's you," he says, somehow managing to sound wistful and happy at the same time. He leans forward and brushes a kiss across her brow.

When he pulls back, there's a little hint of a smile lurking at the corner of his mouth.

"I had the most terrible dream."

"Anything you'd like to talk about?" she inquires, one hand fixing his collar.

(She notices the paper on the table, but she doesn't read past the headline and the date -- she knows better than to mess with the future.)

He catches her hand in his, turns her hand up to his lips and places a kiss in her palm. He holds her palm to his cheek, breathing in the scent of her skin.

"Fields, darling. How did you first come to find Milliways? You still have a world to go home to, don't you?"

A blue man in silver armor approaches the television with some trepidation, as though it might sprout arms and legs and make a break for it.

(Hey, it's been known to happen.)

The worst he's gonna get is a burst of static and a psychedelic background.

A forehead and eyes peers back at him.

From the wrong axis.

Bob just stares.

After a moment, he cants his head to one side in an attempt to match the eyes of the face on the screen.

The psychedelic background flips and Max with it.

He rises up a bit more and smiles. His teeth actually glint in the invisible spot light.

"Hey k-k-kid. C'mere. Mere."
