Echo may or may not notice that the walls seem even closer now than they did a minute ago, tables and chairs huddling together as if conspiring against her.
It takes a while to notice. The size and shape of Milliways is hard to determine at the best of times.
But it's slowly becoming harder to navigate. Every time she turns, there's something in her way, blocking her, keeping her from searching where she wants to search.
James has been watching the pretty brunette for a little while now. At first because - well, she's very pretty, and he does have a weakness for beautiful brunettes, but a few minutes of closer attention made it evident that something isn't quite right there. And as her frustration ramps up, the not-quite-rightness becomes increasingly obvious, until James isn't comfortable with just watching anymore. As her newest lap around the bar takes her near him, he calls out,
"D'you know what it is?" he asks. Some people might ask Where did you last see it?, but those people don't work for Torchwood. James is used to needing to ask questions that skew away from an ordinary line of questioning.
("Now you say it." "I know how to get us out of here." why don't you why don't you Echo has a medical condition I try to why don't you go for a swim? the door's broken now you say it blue skies I know how)
going in circles.
She starts a little when Freya speaks to her; her stride breaks, and she comes to a halt.

Flip.
Flip.
In the shadows of the bar, well out of Echo's perception, Balthazar watches her with a slight, predatory smile.

"Are you okay?"
She can tell, of course, that the answer will be no, but Echo's thoughts are... weird.

She's... confirming it, affirming it. Echo is... special. "Are you Bound?"
