She could try asking help from the handsome young man over by the bar.

Well, handsome except she can't see his eyes.

He still seems to notice the new arrival and lifts his head from his cup of tea.

"Hmm?"

Hearing the man speak up, Jane instantly freaked out. "What? What did I do?!" She asked loudly as she waved her arms frantically with worry that a bee was on her or something. There was no exact reason for why a bee would be around her, but she thought that one was.

"Calm down!" he says, possibly a little louder than he meant to. "It's all right. You haven't done anything wrong."

"Then why am I here? Why am I not at the beach with cold feet and wet hair?" Jane asked, just a bit quieter.

[OOC: Sorry if I'm tagging late, but Reed's PB + just having finished watching this movie = I couldn't resist. Feel free to ignore if I'm too late.]

On the one hand, Reed really wishes that Milliways would be a bit more, oh - discerning about the people it let in.

On the one hand, what the girl is wearing certainly has his attention. He can't wait for the future sometimes. No girl in the fifties would be caught dead in such a get-up, and that just isn't fair at all.

(No, it's perfectly fine:)

Jane's eyes skim over the place slowly, but when she reaches Reed, they automatically open wide. Despite not having dreads or wearing a wife beater, she knows it's Steve. It has to be Steve.

"Steve?!" She says loudly as she rushes towards him, completely surprised and giggling madly. "What are you doing here? You cut your dreads and everything?" A beat. "They were pretty chill, you know.

The - what? Reed starts, taken aback as the girl rushes in his direction, using a name that isn't his - god, what is she talking about? Future slang of some kind. Being from the fifties is a tremendous drawback here sometimes. Reed's learned the more popular terms, but many of them he's still completely at sea with.

The real question, though, is how on earth she's mistaking him for someone she knows? He doubts very much that this girl spends time with anyone who has Reed's sophistication and impeccable taste in clothing.

Still, though, he is bored, so he only needs a couple seconds to reach a decision.

"Oh, I felt like it was time for a change, you know how it is," he says, with a bright and somewhat idiotic smile that mirrors hers fairly well (he thinks).

"Yeah, man, I got you. I kind of miss the tattoo action and everything, but I get it. Just don't move up your prices on me. I mean, I know this nice shit is expensive." Jane rambled a bit.
