Dobby was a bit surprised as he came into what he thought was Harry Potter's bedroom. He knew Harry Potter was a great wizard, no doubt of that, but this seemed a bit extravagant for a wizard that he knew was just about to go into second year ( Read more... )

She's not half as surprised as him. He whips around and blinks his great, green, tennis ball eyes at Hermione.

"D-D-Dobby has come for Harry Potter, but suddenly he finds himself here."

There is more wringing of grubby pillowcase, biting his lip. Has he said too much?

She offers him what is meant to be a reassuring smile.

"It's all right, Dobby. You're completely safe here. But I'm afraid I haven't seen Harry all day."

He briefly checks something he has stashed away in his pillowcase.

"You is friends with Harry?"

He blinks, looking up and down Hermione.

Matt frowns, curious. There's sort of something about this little guy, but Matt's only good at figuring out auras when he concentrates. Another frown, this one intent.

He's back to wringing his pillowcase under Matt's intent gaze.

Perhaps he's expecting some service? The family did say to be hospitable to important guests. Provided their agendas didn't disagree and that he had finished serving the family and his latest round of punishments.

"Do you wish for Dobby to get you something?" he tries.

Hey, if he's wrong about having to serve this guy, well, what's the difference between 13 passes of the iron over his fingers after he's done the other 12?
