Jane enters the Bar grumbling under her breath about Tom Lefroy and his ego. It takes her a moment to realize where she is and she takes a deep breath to collect herself as she tries to recall how to get a mug of tea.
A few tables over there are two people deep in conversation, well, an at times heated conversation really. They are both dressed the same and look just as dirty and grimy as they did when they left Greenleaf. But most of all they look more than tired though that isn't stopping them.
"..could'a taken them, Gabe. We had it in our hands an' those shâguā commanders got scared an' ran."
The man's voice was even as he spoke though there was an edge to his words that was all but warning the woman he shared a table with. "And those are feelings you need to keep to yourself. Morale is already low enough without you fueling it any more."
Gwen gives the man a pointed look. "See. She agrees."
The man at the table just rolls his eyes toward the ceiling before instantly standing as Tiwa does. He offers her a bow before glancing back to the red-head. "Good evening. No. Not bullying around more so than telling her what she should already know."
Sighing, Gwen settled back in her chair reaching for her drink. "We got our gorram asses handed to us, Gabe. I'm not a happy camper 'bout this."
Eventually, there's another man who wanders over near the fire, and catches sight of her book. That's certainly not anything he's seen before, given an illustration on the pages...
"Chair'll do just fine, don't want to interrupt," he replies easily. After all, she is a young woman and therefore she gets first pick of the seating. Plus, she was there first.

"That's hard, well can't ever let them know you're hurting. Have to be sneakier and smarter next time."

He's well within her line of sight, though, if she'd like to distract him.

"Pardon me, Barty? I seem to have found myself here again."

"Jane!" And he sounds delighted to hear her, too. "It's good to hear from you again."

She does her best to quickly look around, she's not sure how she feels about seeing Tom again.

"Evenin'," he says politely.

"Oh good evening. Do you want a space on the couch?"

Tiwa blushes as she sits up, he's being polite and she's sprawled all over the couch.
