Max is kind of distracted. Smoothies and engagements will do that to you.
He is, however, not too distracted to notice that this guy is Italian! Which is, of course, one of Max's favorite languages.
His second favorite, in fact, next to - well, no. French and Italian are sort of tied for first place. Italian might have the upper hand, but only because you don't need a cold in order to properly pronounce things.
Italy would be a nice place for a honeymoon, but Max has his heart set on somewhere tropical, though he's not so sure Ben will be too keen on that idea.
Trindle is quick to bustle over and offer him a hand up.
The problem, you see, is that it's attached to a very green hand. Dark, dark eyes peer down at him curiously from an equally pine-ish face. Since she hasn't spent much time speaking even after getting her voice ... well. She doesn't actually say anything.
Doesn't talk much? She and his virtual self would get along just fine!
His flesh-and-blood self, however, has seen the very green hand, and the dark eyes, and his eyes have grown wide, and he -- well, he's scuttling back on the floor.
If she had approached him much later in life, he wouldn't have seen anything odd about a green-skinned woman.
"I'm not going to hurt you," she murmurs evenly, opting to perch herself on the floor with a blink rather than pursuing the man who seems to be skittering away from her.
Mario stops when he believes he's at a comfortable distance away from her. Which is not as far as normal folk would go. He stops just in time to (barely) hear her murmur.
She's not moving, not trying to attack him, she seems nice...
He stays where he is.
(Where did Luigi find a green woman? If this is indeed Luigi's...overpopulated...house.)

Sip.
Sipsipsip.
"You okay?"

Mario rises to his feet, brushing off the (real or imagined) dirt off his pants and replying, nervously, "Ah -- ah, sì." Beat. "Yes. Yes, I am okay."
:D?

Did we mention that he's distracted?

This is kind of inconvenient for Mario -- though he doesn't see it that way. He sees it as being awkward.
Um.
"Scus -- Excuse me," he says, trying to get the man's attention. "Do you know Luigi?"
