Hermione comes towards the fireplace with her own book (The Standard Book of Spells, Grade 7), fully intending to do a little revision before heading back to Hogwarts.

She only just notices the boy on the rug, and gasps an apologetic "Oh, sorry!" before her foot comes into contact with him.

Fry flinches away from the foot and rolls out of the way.

"I was reading." he says, after a short moment of flailing.

"Yes, and I'm sorry to have disturbed you," she says, still rather apologetic.

She does know how important reading is!

"It's okay." Fry sits up properly. "It's not for school, I just read because I can't sleep."
